At Home With Art:

An introduction to understanding and collecting contemporary art



SBC Gallery of Contemporary Art offers a series of informal lectures on contemporary art, focusing on key movements, artists and important private collections of 20th and 21st century art. Over the course of four sessions, we will examine both international and local currents in artistic practice during the past fifty years, and will raise questions about how avant-garde art has been collected from the 1960s through to today.



The courses will be led by SBC director Pip Day, art historian Barbara Clausen and other invited speakers.
