+ ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

As part of the exhibition Nous/otrxs by artist Martín Rodríguez, this workshop invites participants to explore the connections between self-care and care for plants. Led by artist Émilie Payeur, the activity will begin with an introduction to medicinal plants and some of their traditional uses.

Each participant will then be invited to create a personalized herbal blend based on a physical or emotional care need. Open to all ages, the workshop will embrace a sensory and intuitive approach, fostering knowledge-sharing and attentive listening.

This workshop isn’t suitable for pregnant people or young children, as some plants may not be recommended.

ABOUT ÉMILIE PAYEUR

Émilie Payeur lives and works in Montréal. An interdisciplinary artist, experimental musician, and herbalist, her work often takes the form of in situ installations where sound interacts with video, small sculptures, found objects, natural elements, and performance. She is particularly interested in the notion of the sacred, rituals, dreams, the unconscious, altered states of consciousness, and the animist dimensions of the world. In music, she moves through the realms of noise and experimental sound, working with no-input mixing, lo-fi miniature synthesizers, and more recently, her voice. She is also pursuing studies in psychology, with a strong interest in the psychodynamic approach, and has developed Phyto-introspection, a therapeutic method that combines the use of medicinal plants with the exploration of unconscious content through dream interpretation and projective tarot.
