ANNA BOGHIGUIAN

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Cairo, Anna Boghiguian counts Montréal as one of the many cities in which she has lived. Cities by the Rivers is an ongoing project that has had previous iterations at the 31st São Paulo Biennial, and the Serralves Museum in Porto, Portugal. Previously this year, Boghiguian exhibited in the 14th Istanbul Biennial and in the Armenian Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale. The artist also took par in dOCUMENTA 13 in 2012, Sharjah Biennial in 2011, Thessaloniki Biennale in 2007, and Contemporary Arab Representations Cairo at the 50th Venice Biennale. Periodically returning to her studio in Cairo, Anna Boghiguian continues to create as she travels the world. She is also preparing for an upcoming exhibition at the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven.
