SBC A FELLOW OF THE 11th Gwangju Biennale


SBC is a Biennale fellow of the 11th Gwangju Biennale, "The Eighth Climate (What Does Art Do?)," in South Korea.

SBC's director/curator, Pip Day, went to South Korea in September to participate in the forum "To All the Contributing Factors," discussing the work of small and medium-scale arts organizations across the world in relation to questions of value, continuity, scale, and imagining acts in common.

 

Distinct from bigger-scale art organizations such as museums, art fairs, and biennials, organizations like us often function as the research and development department of the art world. Above all, we actively support artists to experiment and cultivate their practices and nurture contact and conflict zones around themselves
