Curatorial Workshops with Pip Day

Curatorial Workshops

Structured much like artists' crits, the Curatorial Workshop is an opportunity for curators to bring projects to the table to be discussed in a critical forum with a small group of peers and with the Director/Curator of SBC. The first workshop will take place on Friday April 19 and Wednesday April 24, from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

A group of 6 participants will be offered the opportunity to discuss individual curatorial projects, to gain feedback and to deepen historical, critical and theoretical premises as generated by the participants' projects.

Participants will be expected to attend all sessions and should be prepared to formally present their own projects and analyse colleagues' projects. All participants should provide, in advance, any relevant theoretical or other texts they see as important to further discussion and should read all materials provided by others.

Send a one/two page project description and a letter describing your interest in participating in the workshop prior to April 10 to : info@sbcgallery.ca
