Montreal artist Tina Carlisi in residence at Beaconsfield High School

February - April, 2016

Montreal artist Tina Carlisi is currently in residency at Beaconsfield High School where she is developing a performative silkscreen artwork inspired by youth culture with eleventh grade students. Divided into nine sessions, including a field trip to various artistic venues in Montreal, Atelier libre’s main objective is to generate a social space encouraging individual and collective creative engagement. A public performance will be held at the end of the project.

This project is part of the Libres comme l’art program and is made possible with the support of the Conseil des arts de Montréal, the Conférence régionale des élus (CRÉ), the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport, Young Canada Works and Emploi-Québec. Extra guidance and assistance has been provided by Suzanne Nesbitt, Lester B. Pearson School Board Educational Consultant, and Heidi Yetman, Beaconsfield High School Art Teacher.
